Upon the clients acceptance of the offer made by the company, Go Evergreen, to render proposed services, the client has thereby accepted also the terms and conditions of service which govern the provisions of services.

By accepting the terms and conditions set forth by the company Go Evergreen, it is understood that the client is requesting the company to offset the clients carbon foot print through the planting of trees according to the number sponsored by the client.

Forestry Offset-

The company along with its partners will make available to the client a client-sponsored tree sequestration area sufficient to offset the clients carbon footprint. The company has made available to the client a means of calculating this footprint through a carbon footprint calculator. The use of this tool is optional for the client.

Upon receipt of payment for requested services from the client, the company Go Evergreen is committed to planting, and maintaining the client-sponsored tree sequestration area for a requisite period of 30 years in which there will have been a sufficient amount of carbon uptake and carbon storage. The location of the land that the trees will be planted on may be anywhere in the world and will be chosen by the company Go Evergreen for the client. The client does not have any rights of ownership of the chosen land or planted trees. In the unlikely event of the chosen land ceasing to be available through a radical land sale, fire, or natural disaster during the 30 year committed sequestration period, the company Go Evergreen will make available an alternate land area for planting.

Tree Planting

The company Go Evergreen will plant the number of trees as requested and sponsored by the client during the appropriate season and weather conditions as determined by the company Go Evergreen, once the invoice has been paid in full by the client. The location that the sponsored trees will be planted in may be anywhere as determined by the company Go Evergreen. The client has no ownership in the land or lands or the trees. The planting methods and conditions of planting will be at the discretion of the company Go Evergreen.

Carbon Offsets

The company Go Evergreen prefers the US Environmental Protection Agencies’ (EPA) method of calculating the clients carbon footprint. This method of calculation is made available through the goevergreen.org webpage. All calculation methods of carbon footprint calculation and tree carbon sequestration rates used by the company Go Evergreen, are based upon the best and most current scientific data. In the event new data emerges replacing the current scientific knowledge, the company Go Evergreen accepts no liability for any potential unforeseen short fall.

The estimated timing and dates of planting are set by the company Go Evergreen. We may not be held liable for any unforeseen delay of planting beyond our control (i.e.; weather conditions). The trees will be planted by the company Go Evergreen during the appropriate time as determined by the company Go Evergreen.

The terms and conditions must be read by, agreed upon and accepted by the client prior to planting. The fees for requested services must be paid in full by the client as set by the company Go Evergreen before tree planting services will be rendered.

The client must provide accurate information to the company Go Evergreen. The sponsorship of tree(s) planted for carbon offsetting is non-transferable to a third party.

Client sponsored trees will be tagged and numbered and an email photo along with the ID number will be sent to the client once the tree(s) are planted. A semi annual e-mail newsletter will be sent updating clients on progress of trees. Any additional verification will be provided upon request at a fee.

The company Go Evergreen’s liability to the client for breach of contract including any negligence is limited to the amount agreed upon for requested services.

The laws of the United States of America govern all work and practices of the company Go Evergreen.
